The unofficial start to summer is finally here, and campgrounds across Price County are beginning to fill with campfires, fishing poles, side-by-sides, lawn chairs, and coolers packed for a long Northwoods weekend.

Whether you’re returning to your favorite seasonal campsite, heading up for your first camping trip of the year, or just escaping the city for a few days, we want to officially say: welcome back to Price County.

From peaceful mornings on the lake to late-night bonfires under the stars, Memorial Day Weekend is one of the best times to experience everything the Northwoods has to offer.

Find Your Perfect Campsite

Price County is home to some incredible campgrounds, each offering its own unique Northwoods experience.

•Solberg Lake Campground

Known for its beautiful lake views, sandy swimming beach, boat access, and direct ATV/UTV trail connections, Solberg Lake is one of the most popular camping destinations in the county. It’s the perfect home base for fishing, trail riding, kayaking, or simply relaxing around the campfire.

•Smith Lake Campground

If you’re looking for a quieter getaway surrounded by towering trees and peaceful water, Smith Lake Campground offers a more tucked-away Northwoods atmosphere. It’s a great option for campers wanting to unplug, fish, paddle, and enjoy nature at a slower pace.

•Big Falls Campground

Located near one of Price County’s most scenic natural attractions, Big Falls Campground gives visitors easy access to waterfalls, hiking, swimming, and incredible photo opportunities. Few places feel more “Up North” than a summer evening along the river at Big Falls.
