New ATV Riding Map for the City of Park Falls, WI

July 9, 2025

Exciting news is rolling through Park Falls, Wisconsin, as the City Council has officially approved updates to the ATV/UTV and Snowmobile ordinance and route maps—creating even greater access for riders eager to explore one of the Northwoods’ premier trail destinations. These changes come after productive consultation with local ATV and snowmobile clubs, ensuring that the needs and suggestions of the riding community were heard and thoughtfully incorporated.

The revised ATV route map for the City of Park Falls, now available on the Enjoy Price County Trail Maps Page, reflects a strategic effort to enhance trail connectivity while improving safety and clarity. New signage is being installed to align with the updated routes, making navigation easier and ensuring a more enjoyable and seamless riding experience through the city.

These updates are more than just a municipal change…they mark a strong commitment by Park Falls to support outdoor recreation and embrace its role as a hub for ATV and UTV enthusiasts. By working closely with clubs and the community, the city has created a trail system that invites both residents and visitors to explore the surrounding beauty of Price County on four wheels.

And there’s plenty to explore. Price County is home to nearly 400,000 acres of publicly accessible land, including national forest, state lands, and extensive county-owned tracts. The Chequamegon–Nicolet National Forest alone offers over 150,000 acres of rugged wilderness, with hundreds of miles of designated ATV and multi-use trails winding through forests, lakes, and scenic vistas. Add to that an extensive network of private forest lands open under Wisconsin’s Managed Forest Law (MFL) and Forest Crop Law (FCL) programs, and it’s easy to see why Price County is considered a top-tier riding destination.

Park Falls serves as a perfect gateway to this outdoor paradise. Riders can start their engines right from town, thanks to the updated ordinances and mapped routes, and quickly access the Flambeau Trail System, Tuscobia State Trail, and many other regional trail networks. These improvements also support local tourism, with businesses in town offering ATV rentals, trail gear, fuel, dining, and lodging making Park Falls an ideal basecamp for weekend warriors and extended trail vacations alike.

As trail usage continues to grow across the region, the City of Park Falls is stepping up to ensure safe, accessible, and enjoyable riding for everyone. The positive collaboration between city officials and riding clubs is a great example of how communities can balance outdoor recreation with responsible planning and stewardship.

So, whether you’re a seasoned rider or new to the trail scene, Park Falls welcomes you to explore its newly enhanced routes and the boundless terrain beyond. With scenic trails, improved access, and a rider-friendly atmosphere, there’s never been a better time to rev up and Enjoy Price County.
