The rides have stopped spinning, the animals are headed home and another Price County Fair is officially in the books.
This year’s fair was an especially meaningful one, marking 140 years of the Price County Fair and continuing a tradition that has brought generations of Price County residents together.
From the moment the gates opened, the fairgrounds in Phillips were filled with the sights, sounds and traditions that make fair week special. Carnival rides and games, livestock, exhibits, fair food, live entertainment and plenty of familiar faces made for a memorable few days in Price County.

Celebrating Agriculture and the Next Generation
At the heart of the Price County Fair are the youth, families and exhibitors who spend countless hours preparing for fair week.
Throughout the fair, visitors had the opportunity to see cattle, goats, poultry, rabbits, horses and other animals, along with the many projects entered by junior and open class exhibitors.
One of the highlights came Friday evening with the 4-H Market Animal Sale, giving local youth the opportunity to showcase the results of months of hard work while receiving support from businesses, organizations and individuals throughout the community.
Programs like Price County 4-H Youth Development give local youth opportunities to learn new skills, take on leadership roles and get involved in their communities throughout the year.
The fair is more than a few days of competition. For many local families, it’s a tradition passed from one generation to the next.
Plenty to See and Do
There was no shortage of activity around the fairgrounds.
K&M Amusements brought the midway to life with carnival rides and games, while events throughout the grounds included the Kids Tractor Pull, minnow races, bingo, chainsaw wood carving, a petting zoo, balloon entertainment, horse events and more.
Live music also helped provide the soundtrack for the weekend, while food stands around the grounds served up the kind of treats that are almost as much a fair tradition as the rides themselves.
Then came Saturday’s action in the grandstands, where the Dirt Dash and Demo Derby brought plenty of noise, mud and excitement to the fair.

More Than a Fair
What makes the Price County Fair special isn’t any single ride, show or attraction. It’s the people behind it.
It’s the youth proudly walking an animal into the show ring. It’s the volunteers putting in long hours before most visitors ever walk through the gate. It’s the local businesses supporting young exhibitors. It’s families sharing fair traditions with another generation, and friends and neighbors running into each other as they make their way around the grounds.
For 140 years, the Price County Fair has provided a place for Price County to come together and celebrate agriculture, youth, tradition and community.
That tradition was alive and well again in 2026.
